Ubuntu Bit Versions

  • and enter the command lsb_release-a

Check if you are running on a 32-bit or a 64-bit machine

On the other hand if you just want to check if you are running on a 32 or 64 bit architecture:

  • you will want to type: getconf LONG_BIT

Alternative way to find Ubuntu version number and if you have o 32 or 64 bits architecture

If you are a developer and not always have access to the console. you can simply use the PHP info function:

juts drop this in to a new php file and you will get a full list of stuff installed on you server besides you Ubuntu version.
